Let's Try This Again......

Hello!  It has been about 2 years since I have last posted.  Why?  I'm not sure.  Really thought the blog had disappeared off the Internet.  But it hadn't.  I'm not computer savvy.  I don't know what all the computer jargon means and frankly, felt a bit intimidated about the whole blog thing.

But I read many blogs.  The writers seem to go about with such grace and ease.  I want to be like that.  I want to write down my thoughts not knowing if anyone will find them and read them.  And really not caring whether they do or not.  I want to talk about the things I like to do  (a bit narcissistic huh?).

So I'm gonna start off at a crawl and later take off running!

How do I insert pics and I want to have my favorite music playing in the background.  Those couple things are a few of my goals for this blog.  I want to link this blog to my etsy accounts.  I have 2--one is for mainly vintage and the other is handmade crafts and crafting supplies.  Here are the site addresses  http://www.etsy.com/shop/alloftheabove and  http://www.etsy.com/shop/chillcrafts .  Check them out if you wish.  If that is there is anybody out there?!  Ha Ha!

I have to get in the habit of blogging everyday.  Why not add one more iron into the fire!  Saturday, 10-15-11, went to a few yard sales on the way to my shop.  One sale I have been to before.  She has had things in the past that she sold for WAY too cheap.  And me , with my conscience had to tell her about researching a bit beofre she put her things out there.  She took my advice and now her items are what you would call priced at retail prices.  She has also done her research and found out what is hot in the trends too.  Needless to say I kinda lost that sale as a "pickin site".  I have mixed feelings about that.  One the girl deserves to get what is right for the piece, but on the other hand I have lost out on some really good "stuff"!  Oh well....

Did find some very good things though.  Some really pretty HULL sugar and creamer.  I think it is the Rain Lily pattern. Have to research though.  Also some rusty and crusty things -- what I live for!  Enjoy the pics!

I finally started a Blog!

I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time--maybe 2 years!  Why I haven't started earlier is a mystery to me.  Maybe guilt....should be doing profitable work.  But really a blog is very necessary these days for a small business owner.  It opens "doors"  virtual doors maybe but openings are openings.  I find myself "blogging" on facebook alot.  That had to stop.  People take facebook way too serious sometimes.  I like to keep it simple and light.  Catch up with old friends, see what is trending in the world of etsy and "picking".  I don't like to get to opinionated on facebook.  Like I said people have a tendency to get way too serious about everything. 

So we will see where this blog takes me.  Light heartednes for sure, but I'm sure there will be opinions sometimes.  Not too heavy though.  My motto Keep it simple Stupid!
